                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF PORTIONS OF AMNICOLA HIGHWAY,
                   RIVERSIDE DRIVE/RIVERFRONT PARKWAY, CHESTNUT
                   STREET AND 2ND STREET, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3,
                   1993, FOR "WALKTOBERFEST" SPONSORED BY THE
                   CHATTANOOGA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN DIABETES
                   ASSOCIATION, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closure of the westbound lane adjacent to the shoulder
       and the shoulder of Amnicola Highway from the west entrance/exit
       of the Riverpark to Riverside Drive, the westbound lane adjacent
       to the shoulder and the shoulder of Riverside Drive from Amnicola 

       Highway to the Walnut Street Bridge (the pedestrians exit the
       street to the Riverwalk and return along the same route) on
       Sunday, October 3, 1993 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. for the
       presentation of "Walktoberfest" sponsored by the Chattanooga
       Chapter of the American Diabetes Association provided that the
       sponsors shall set out and pick up all flasher barricades, cones, 

       and traffic control signs in accordance with the traffic control
       plan attached hereto and shall provide at all times an access 
lane
       for emergency vehicles.
